After conferring with counsel and being retained, I conduct a comprehensive review of the patient's medical record and perform a thorough analysis of the medical care provided to the patient as reflected in the medical record. In conjunction with my review and analysis, I identify medical record documentation issues, if any, as well as any additional information that may be required in order to fully evaluate a claim or defense of medical negligence. Finally, I work closely and transparently with counsel to evaluate the validity of potential allegations of, or defenses to, medical negligence, and whether my opinion supports such potential allegations or defenses.
